Pranayama & Meditation Workshop with Anamika Dwivedy

Pranayama, the practice of ancient yogic breathing techniques, consciously controls the flow of breath, and thus enhances the flow of energy in the body. A regular, balanced pranayama practice increases prana (life energy), thereby inviting greater mental clarity, heightened healing potential and deeper self-understanding. Pranayama, like other yogic practices, is about being more fully alive and well, and is a particularly helpful in the preparation for meditation.

This workshop will provide instruction and practice of pranayama techniques that you can integrate into your current practice. You will work on 13 to 14 different breathing techniques during the session along with some yoga poses that will target different parts of the body. Breathing, Meditation and Yoga Poses will be coordinated with the goal of gaining energy and strength to cope with the difficult life situations.


Workshop Fees

The fee for the Pranayama, Meditation Workshop is $35, payable by credit card online or cash/check at the studio the day of the workshop.

Bio
Anamika Dwivedy has yoga certifications from India and US. She has been practicing yoga since 1996 and has been certified in India and lately by Yoga Alliance in US as 200 hr RYT. Yoga is not just an exercise for her but it is her passion. She has studied yoga from multiple gurus and in her spare time she has also done lot of her own research on asanas (exercises).

Anamika has a unique style of teaching in which she explains to you the benefits of each asana and how it helps you in strengthening different parts of the body, calms your mind, and ultimately purifies the soul. She blends the style of yoga as it originated in India with the modern style practiced in US and delivers to you the best of both worlds.

Her teachings include different forms of yoga - Hot yoga, Vinyasa yoga, Power yoga, Hatha yoga, Pranayama (breathing exercises), and meditation.
